Eddie
The thing I really liked about this book is that it gave Secretariat’s groom, Eddie Sweat, the credit he deserves for his role in making Secretariat a champion - the likes of which may never again be seen. I come from a horse family, and have been deeply involved in the horse business for decades: Eddie provided a sense of calm and security when it was most needed.
