Essential reading for those interested in Impressionism in America and also much information on the Havemeyer Collection, art dealers, and art in general. A must for fans of Mary Cassatt. The most fascinating scene is H. O. Havemeyer bonding with Charles Lang Freer while contemplating Oriental Art.
