Masters Of The Cats #6

The Lion’s Secret Love

In this sixth title in the best-selling Masters of the Cats series, cat shifter Opal Vanberth was young for her kind, but she knew she had an old soul. And she had always felt more comfortable with humans than her own kind. Maybe it was the fact she had been raised by a human heroin addict, or that she had been in and out of foster care for most of her life. One thing was for sure, she never expected men like River, Rhodes and Zanger to be hers. And she always worried something else would take her happiness away, as it always did.

River-Wander had studied in universities unknown to humans, fought beasts that would make any man run in fear and created a warrior species, which he was the leader of, to protect the world around him. But so far, he wasn’t doing a very good job of protecting his own meru. Rhodes, Zanger and River have bonded together and were determined to protect their female, even if it meant one of them must leave their fold for a dangerous mission. Can River hold his family together, knowing what his weru, Zanger, must do to survive? Or should he take his family and leave Earth all together?

Her usual great story.

I love her stories. Each gets better. Such strong females with such big forgiving hearts. Strong males who need to learn to give a little. This story brought new bad guys and new worries for our hero's and I am so looking forward to the next book. Can't wait.

The sixth in the Masters of the Cats series and can be read as a stand alone book, but with the mention of characters from previous stories it would be better to read the series in order to better understand the relationship between them.

The story moves quickly and is full of twist and turns. The characters at first appear simple, just what they appear, funny, prankster, , aggressive, arrogant etc.. Then you see below the surface and find they are more complex then they first appear. The story is touching and romantic. As always Trinity Blacio has given us some strong sensual scenes that will warm your blood and make your heart race. She always uses her talent to write a story that touches the senses as it entertains. The family unit is as always the center of the story.

My rating of "The Lion’s Secret Love - Masters of the Cats Book 6" is 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Opal has become known as the prankster. But her pranks hide a painful past, so when her past rears its head in an unexpected way, can her men help her accept and move forward?
The Lion’s Secret Love by Trinity Blacio is the latest in her Masters of the Cats series. Opal has been fighting the claim Rhodes and Zanger have been making and as their kith is incomplete, they have been allowing it. But when River enters the picture everything changes.
I enjoyed seeing the happiness Opal brought to her friends. Her pranks are all in good fun even as they allow her to keep her distance. I loved that Ms. Blacio didn’t allow that to continue even as she peeled back the layers of Opal’s pain. I enjoyed seeing River, Rhodes an Zanger figure out how to work together to support their family. River has a history with Opal and while you would think that would give him a leg up, in fact, Ms. Blacio made sure it added a different dimension to this kith’s dynamics. I enjoyed seeing Opal and the woman bring their men kicking and screaming into equality. These women are strong and refused to have their worth marginalized. I enjoyed the twists Ms. Blacio put on their battle of the sexes that popped out throughout this story and series. And while I enjoyed this story overall, I will note that Ms. Blacio had some consistency issues. For example, prior to reading this story, I binge read the previous books (by the way this series is best read in chronological order). And the names of previous characters changed, not just from book to book but also within this current story. These errors pulled me out of the story as I struggled to figure out who Ms. Blacio meant. In spite of this I did enjoy the overall story and look forward to where Ms. Blacio will take us next.

I’ve been following and readying Trinity’s books since I read the first Master of the Cats. Now 6 books later I still think its a awesome series. This book 6 is a great addition to the series.

It follows Opal and the males in her life. You could probably read it as a stand alone, but you’d get much more understanding reading the others as well.

A story of undeniable love, lost and adjusting. This storyline is very busy with a lot going on but easy enough to follow. Also you know there’s another book coming after. (smiles)

Your heart will break for the struggle the ladies went through and still going through. My feeling warred each other at wanting to pick both sides of the argument. The need to continue to see through what’s important to you and yours and the need of continued safety of family and loved ones. The threat isn’t just on one side but coming at a few or maybe together. Unanswered questions.

Mmm delicious hot scenes makes you wish you wer Opal with a wee bit of BDSM flavor. Okay any of the Cat ladies with their males. Time honored tradition versus modern way of life. Will balance be found. I read and reviewed this book voluntarily. Enjoy.

This is book 6 in the Masters of the Cat series and can be read as a stand alone book. We meet River as he is going back to his home planet and he is leaving Kitty, the love of his life. He’s gone because he wants to be made a permanent warrior and be able to live on Earth with Kitty and her other two true mates. But he’s gone for 11years before he’s able to make it back. There’s a lot going on but the majority of it is about Kitty showing her three mates how strong she is and also how the men of the other planet need to get along with the women of Earth. There are other things going on in the midst of all this so you are never bored! You will scream in a couple of places and laugh in others. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Riverdale Avenue books for the ARC for my honest review. First time reading this author. I knew it was book 6 but I was hoping it read like a stand alone. Not so much-I was confused from the beginning. I just didn't get it. She has missing memories but yet she knows that a little boy is her son at a glance? I just couldn't get into it. Maybe if I knew more background it would all be more believeable.

This is book 6 in the Masters of the Cats series. This series has longer more intense stories than some of Ms Blacio's books. Cat shifters from another planet have incorporated themselves into human life and are intent on saving the humans from an invasion of aliens. Still erotic and multiple partners this has a little more story.
