Every month Publisher's Lunch puts out a guide to the most anticipated books being released. Included in this month's edition are excerpts from seven upcoming novels four of which are debuts.
The Hawkman by Jane Rosenberg LaForge is a retelling of Grimm's Fairytales set around World War I. This book should appeal to both fans of historical fiction and romance alike.
Tell the Machine Goodnight by Katie Williams is a sci-fi novel about a woman who has been assigned to make everyone happy.
Spencer Wise's debut The Emperor of Shoes is about a Chinese expatriate who takes over his family's shoe factory only to find it plagued with corruption.
Last but not least is James MacLaughlin's Bearskin a thrilling addition to Appalachian noir.

This June readers will be waiting with baited breath for these upcoming titles:
Commercial sensations:
James Patterson with Bill Clinton - The President is Missing
Lauren Groff - Florida
Fredrik Bachman - Us Against You
John Connelly - The Woman in the Woods
Barbara Delinsky - Before and Again
Elin Hilderbrand - The Perfect Couple
B. A. Paris - Bring Me Back

Literary Fiction:
Edouard Louis - History of Violence
Lydia Millet - Fight No More: Stories
Thrity Umrigar - The Secrets Between Us
Noah Hawley - A Conspiracy of Tall Men
Maria Hummel - Still Lives
Gael Faye - Small Country

My Most Anticipated Titles:

I looked over the list of 100 new books that tells you of the titles that are being published in June. There are 7 excerpts of books. One is nonfiction. I enjoy reading these excerpts as it gives me a chance to decide if I want to buy the book or not. I don't mind finding new authors to read.

Disclaimer: I received an arc of this book free from the author/publisher from Netgalley. I was not obliged to write a favorable review, or even any review at all. The opinions expressed are strictly my own.

I always look forward to reading these books. I am constantly using these as my what-to-read-next lists. I love that excerpts are included from several of the books on the list so that I can get an idea of whether or not I am going to love the book before I begin reading it. The format of these books is excellent as well. Giving a description and then including the excerpt afterwards. I only wish that their were a couple more excerpts, but this in no way takes away my appreciation of this book.

I am currently reading The Marsh King's Daughter and am really enjoying it, so while this June Buzz Books Monthly is short, it was worth it for me to find the above book.
