Award winning author, Kathryn Jane is known for rising to a challenge, whether it’s getting her pilot’s license, facing down cancer, training cantankerous horses or writing that first novel.

Her personal tales of adventure include misplacing a Thoroughbred filly in a 747 at thirty thousand feet, planning the evacuation of over fifty horses in the path of an approaching wildfire, and being volunteered to represent her peers in a public speaking venue.

In the novels she writes, Kathryn keeps her heroines busy surviving life threatening adventures, or soul searching personal journeys, while they are doggedly determined to not fall in love with men they really don’t need. Think modern-day knights, and reluctant, self-sufficient damsels.

In spite of ridiculous odds, every story has a happy ending, with both halves of a couple coming to terms with love and all its complications.

Kathryn lives in a cozy cottage in the Pacific Northwest with a pair of tuxedo cats, and a faithful dog to keep the man of her dreams company as she writes page turning, steamy tales of love, mystery, and adventure.

I received this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

This booked surprised me, i wasn't attracted to the cover but the description sounded ok and I thought I would give it a go. I really enjoyed it and couldn't put it down. I thought it had lots of twists and turns and although you kind of know what is going to happen I didn't mind at all.

This story follows the life of Dusty from her enthusiastic childhood to a gradual finding of herself through tragedy and the discovery of a First Nations family she never knew she had and into a self-made family when she takes in foster children even as she continues to mourn the man, the husband, she loves but has lost to the evilness of the man she thought was her father.

In some ways, it is two stories, one rather superficially interesting, the other more spiritual and thus more interesting if even confusing at times when the author plumbs issues with which I am less familiar than her.

I struggled to get into this book to start with. It's not my usual type of read. However, by the end I found I was really enjoying it. The ups and downs of Dusty's life and her spiritual awakening was an emotional rollercoaster. Thank you Kathryn Jane for a beautiful story.

Into the Sunrise by Kathryn Jane
This story pulled me into Dusty's life, a young woman raised by her father after her mother left them. Looking for love—with her only example being an unloving father—leads her to the wrong type of men. It will take the reader through all the twists and turns of Dusty’s choices…and choices others make for her.

An incredible story full of surprises. If you cry easily when reading a book—keep a box of tissues handy because the author takes you through so many emotions. Joy to sorrow, love to hate, devastating to hopeful, and more. It’s one of those stories that is hard to get out of my head.
