I have been writing for over twenty years, and every time I start a new project, it reminds me of the magic that can be created by simple words. I spent most of my childhood in other worlds, and I always knew that I wanted to create faraway lands for people to escape to when they felt the need.

When I write, I have no idea what is going to happen, or where the story is going, which makes the twists and turns in the story just as shocking to me as they are to the reader.

I absolutely love to hear from my readers, it’s what keeps me motivated to keep writing and publishing. In the times when I feel like giving up, I will receive a beautiful message from a reader thanking me for giving them hope, or making them feel like they finally belong, or for reminding them of something they once knew, but had long since forgotten. And so I keep writing.

Velvet is an old soul who runs an academy whose main purpose is to train angels, fairies, aliens, and other beings in the ways of human life. These beings are then born into the human world with the intent of awakening people to be good and to do right, in an attempt to make the earth a better place. When earth begins to spiral downward, an influx of students crowd the academy in an attempt to get to earth to save the human race before it’s too late. This book follows Velvet, the headmaster, as she prepares herself and her students for the possible Golden Age of the earth. Through the process she experiences many ups and downs, enjoys new found love, deals with devastating loss, and begins remembering things about her past that she doesn’t recall ever forgetting.

This book was enjoyable and very well written. Geared towards a younger audience, it can be motivational and enlightening. It is based around the idea of reincarnation and the afterlife, and refers to more than one Supreme Being, a god and a goddess. That being said, if you are at all religious, you may have difficulty with some of the subject matter, as I did in parts. The overall message of the book, however, was a positive one.

Wow what a fun interesting book.
For years Velvet has been the head and founder of Earth Angel Academy. It trains Angels, Fairies, Old soles and others who will be going to earth to help humans awaken. Velvet is getting ready for another training session to start, but things are not going to be the same this time. There is going to be a shift on earth and that shakes everything up at the academy.
From the very moment Aria the Faeirie met Amethyst an Angel I was hooked. The characters personalities fit so well, infact I thought all the characters were developed nicesly.
This book is about friendships, love, loss, exceptance and so much more.
This book resonated with me. I know it is a fantasy but it felt so right in so many ways. I cannot remember having such a fun read and feeling the emotions I did.
I have already bought a copy to give as a present.
Would highly recommend this book

Michelle Gordon has a wonderful, natural writing style that grips the reader and engages them instantly. Her character development during the series is impressive, making the reader relate to Velvet's character even more. The subject matter is inspiring, and whether you are spiritual or not, there are lessons to be learned from these stories. If only we could share the perspective of looking back over several lifetimes to help us understand our past decisions and fates that lie before us. Definitely a "good read", and recommended for those that wonder if there is more to their existence than meets the eye.

It was an OK read. I think it felt more YA to me. Also, things weren't properly explained, such as what exactly was happening on Earth, had inkling it was climate change, etc, but it wasn't properly stated.
Also every felt like it was tied up neatly so not sure what could happen in subsequent books.
Think from reading this I've clarified to myself I prefer urban fantasy or more traditional Faerie/Witch/Werewolf, etc

It was a nice read with some good ideas. First of a series but it felt like it answered all its own plot devices so wouldn't need to read on if you didn't fancy
