Book #3 in the series...

Charmed, Texas, is a close-knit small town where people's dreams of love can come true. That's not to say that some people aren't still waiting, and dreaming . . .

By day, Allie Greene stays busy with her family diner, and keeping tabs on her teenage daughter. What's really exhausting Allie, however, are the nights. Not that she minds Bash

Allie and Bash have been best friends since they were teenagers, always there for each other through thick and thin, a makeshift family without intimate benefits. Never wanting to jeopardize their friendship they ignored the mutual attraction until recently. A passionate kiss, three months ago, left them both discombobulated. Avoiding the issue, they’ve grown apart just when they need each other most. Allie finds out she could lose her diner, and her fifteen-year-old daughter, Angel is ...more
A wonderful mix of angst, sexiness and romance.

Sharla Lovelace has a delightful way of producing a story with just the right amount of feels, steam and romance that easily engage me from the start. I have enjoyed reading her books which provide a lovely escape every time. With this third book in the Charmed in Texas series, she has once again recaptured the good and not so good quirks of living in a small town.

In Once a Charmer, we catch up with Bash Anderson and Allie Greene, whose lives

Allie Greene and Sebastian "Bash" Anderson are the BEST of friends. They have been in each other's lives for years -- with Bash also pretty much becoming a father figure to Allie's daughter. They haven't really crossed the line though, the fine line between friends and lovers. Until that kiss, the kiss that Allie gave Bash few months ago when she thought that he was shot. Now Allie's nights are bombarded with sexy things that Bash does to her...

I absolutely LOVE this series... Sharla Lovelace has become one of my go-to authors that I read anything and every time she releases a book. I adore this small town series and even more I LOVE that this is a best friends to more type of romance.

Allie and Bash have been friends since they were teens, always there for each other through thick and thin and delivering babies :) They could always rely on each other, talk to each other honestly until... the kiss that changed everything.

Another super cute read from Sharla Lovelace set in Charmed, Texas!

I loved the best friends to more premise and the undeniable friendship, love, and chemistry between these two. Bash and Allie have been friends since childhood and he’s been the one constant in her and her daughter’s life since she got pregnant as a teen. It was impossible not to root for them from the start.

Add in another visit to the super charming town of Charmed with all of the recurring characters from the previous two books

Allie Greene grew up in Charmed, TX and runs the family diner-The Blue Banana-while raising her daughter, Angel, and helping to take care of her father who has dementia. Having lived in the same trailer park as Carman Frost (Lucky Charmed) she too was a victim of her classmates’ teasing and the town’s disapproval. Intelligent, forthright, and always in control, Allie is shocked when she learns her father used the diner as

I think I may have said this after every book in this series so far, but these Charmed in Texas books are everything that I love about small town romance. They consistently get the tone just right, capturing the quirky and fun secondary characters, the sweetness and bitterness of small towns, and that cozy way these stories can warm your heart when done juuuust right.

Once a Charmer is no exception. I fell so easily into this story, reacquainting myself with all the charm that Charmed has to

It's official, Sharla Lovelace has made it to my favorite authors list. I read Lucky Charmed a while back and thought it was insanely good. Like, it was so good that I added it to my favorites shelf on Goodreads. Then I saw Once a Charmer and I just simply couldn't bring myself to miss out on a Charmed in Texas novel.

Although I don't remember Allie and Bash starring in a lot of scenes in Lucky Charmed, I do remember that

Charmed in Texas #3

Sebastian “Bash” Anderson is a beekeeper with big plans that were somewhat foiled in book two of this series. He spent time in the military just out of high school but has settled into Charmed, Texas and is growing his business. His best friend Allie Greene and her daughter Angel are close as family to Bash and have been since Angel’s birth. The BFF are there for one another through thick and thin BUT a kiss between them a few months before

For those that follow my reviews it is no secret that I am "charmed" by this series. A series set in a small quirky town called Charmed with numerous characters who are less than charming. This story is the third in the series and perhaps my favorite thus far. Although it can likely be read on its own I would recommend

While I enjoyed this book, I felt that in the end, the book was rushed. Ninety percent led up to Allie figuring out that life is worth living, and being with Bash wouldn't bring the world crashing down on her.

I live in Small Town America and I relate to the feelings that Allie has and not wanting to give people reason to talk about her or Angel. What I find hard to believe is that she doesn't

One of my favorites from Charmed Texas- friends to lovers. Bash and Allie have been friends forever and never wanted to jeopardize that until "that kiss". Allie has always been busy with raising her daughter, running the local diner and helping her father that has dementia. Bash owns a beehive company and his life revolves around Allie and her daughter.

Love these characters and the quirky town of Charmed Texas, genuine and fun loving. Many laugh out moments. I highly recommend this story,

I don’t know how it’s possible, but I’m convinced that each installment of the Charmed, Texas series just gets better and better.

Sharla Lovelace has created in Once a Charmer just about my perfect romance. It’s funny. It’s magical. It’s sexy. It’s sweet. And, sometimes it’s irreverent.

From the first book in this series to this one it has been a wonderful ride that has kept me entertained laughing, chuckling and smiling the whole way through. The author gives you excitement with a little mystery and some downright hilarious moments. This is one story I had no trouble relating to since my husband and I were best friends long before we started dating. I went through a lot of what Allie did not wanting to lose my best bud and afraid to take that next step. There are a lot of what ...more

Frustratinly Beautiful!! I LOVED this story! I am not normally a fan of best friends turned lovers but this story was so much different than the usual, it had me enthralled. This story is beautifully written and it was easy for me to get swept up in all the feelings the characters were going through. There are also some really fun parts the had me LOLing throughout. This is my favorite story so far in this series!! Highly recommended!!

The Charmed in Texas series has gotten better with each offering. The first book was good, the second better, but I absolutely loved Once a Charmer. And that’s saying a lot because I don't usually enjoy the friends-to-lovers trope.

What made this work for me though, were all the other plates our heroine was doing her best to keep spinning throughout the book, making this a story about Allie’s whole life and not just her love life.

Allie Greene has lived in Charmed, Texas her whole life. Her

Allie Greene and Bash Anderson have been best friends for years, but lately Allie has been thinking of Bash as more than just her friend. With things getting weird between her and Bash and Allie's livelihood threatened because of something foolish her dad did, Allie doesn't know what she'll do. Yet, when she finds herself partnered with Bash for the town's Honey King and Queen contest, they become closer than ever to the point where Bash will put their friendship on the line for them to become

My Review:
Ooh, I am a sucker for a good friends to lovers story and this one was fantastic. Bash has always been gorgeous and personable. Even in high school, he would have been much to cool for Allie, except they worked at the diner together and became friends. He was the one person who stood by her when she got pregnant at seventeen. He even delivered her baby and they've been best friends ever since. Although they have flirted with something more a couple of times, they both treasure their

Once a Charmer is utterly delightful from beginning to end. Sharla Lovelace once again perfects the small town vibe with this latest in her Charmed in Texas series. This time around it's Allie Greene's turn to experience a bit of love at the hands of the author and her lifelong friend in Bash suddenly or perhaps not so suddenly becomes the man of her dreams.

Both Allie and Bash are great at avoiding the obvious. There is no question their chemistry is off the charts yet for some reason neither of

This book is a 3.75 for me, because while I found it quite good, it wasn't amazing.

Honestly, I normally wouldn't have picked up this book. The cover really reminded me of those books that 40-something year old women would "read" at their "book club" which is really just an excuse for them to gather around, gossip, and drink wine. Which while the book technically does have the plot of one of those cheesy romance novels Mom's pick up, it manages to still be fresh and fun thanks to the authors

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

This is a great story about friends to lovers. Allie runs the local diner and has been trying to stay below the radar of her small town. Being the one who was the stereotypical small town teenage girl - the one who wound up pregnant and alone. While she never regretted her decision, she also knew that her town would never let

As one of my favorite tropes, this is a friends-to-lovers story. Allie and Bash have been friends since they were seventeen, they’ve been through all the good, bad and ugly in their lives. They’ve seen each other at their best and inevitably at their worst. It was clear in the story that they both have been a little in love with each other from the start, it just had to take some teenage drama, money in trees and mysterious townsfolk with special powers to realize that.

Sharla Lovelace’s CHARMED,

This series has been just charming. When a book has me mad, angry then laughing and crying then I know it's been exactly what I needed. Sharla Lovelace's writing is so powerful that you want to reach right through the book and punch people! Then, I want to reach out and hug others!

Allie Greene was such a strong and powerful woman who saw herself as a the young teenager with a a father with a gambling problem and her as a young unwed teen. Bash Anderson saw the true woman Allie was- is- and loved

This is the third book in the Charmed in Texas series and the second book that I have read and certianly feel that this could be read on a stand alone basis. For me, this book falls under single mother/friends to lovers/small town romance tropes.

I have to say I really enjoyed this book. It's told in the sole POV of Allie and as a general rule, I much prefer dual POV but it this case and I didn't mind it all. I found myslef invested in this story from the get go and it really held my attention

Allie Greene and Bash Anderson have been best friends since high school, but lately Allie has been having sex dreams about him which is seriously messing with their relationship. She has a teenage daughter who is growing up a little too fast, and her diner is in some financial difficulties, so she doesn't have time for this. Bash has always considered Allie and her daughter as family, but he has his own issues with finances in his bee-keeping operation which doesn't give him a lot of time to ...more

I like this series by Sharla Lovelace and I really enjoyed this book. This was a wonderful, sweet, funny, heartwarming friends to lovers romance that takes place in that awesome small town of Charmed Texas. Throw in an odd pageant event, some teen angst and drama, some seriously steamy moments and some other quirky moments and interesting characters for sure and color me hooked.

What can go wrong will go wrong. This poor single mother is being bombarded from all sides by problems of every nature. Even her nights aren't restful because she is haunted by vivid, graphic sex dreams starring her best friend, the only man in her life she had felt she could count on. Just when it seems things may be turning in the right direction, everything falls to pieces again. Many ups and downs. Bash is known around town as a ladies man. But there are only two ladies in his life and that is his best friend Allie and her daughter Angel. He's always been Uncle Bash but feels more like her dad. And loves her just the same. But since Allie kissed him a few months back he's feeling something towards her that he shouldn't be feeling.

Allie can't get Bash out of her head...or dreams. Dreams she shouldn't be having about her best friend. She can't risk him even to fulfill her fantasies. But

I received a copy of this in a Goodreads giveaway and have not let it affect my review.

This was a cute story, but such an unusual choice to have a romance with single person POV. It made it more like women's fiction to, as the reader, have the same uncertainty as the heroine about the hero's feelings. Allie did have a lot going on, dealing with family issues and parenting, but I prefer getting both sides of the story, as it were.

I am not a parent, but I was a teenage girl once. I enjoyed Allie
