The author discusses two principle causes of obesity--binge eating and food addiction--and presents an unconventional program for losing weight that eliminates carbohydrates from the diet and limits food consumption to meat, fish, and raw fruits and vegetables
Dated, but interesting. The information isn't out-of-date, but the style of writing and the author's prejudices are, a bit. The information is pretty radical, because it's not at all politically correct, going totally against the ideas of vegetarianism and veganism that have captured the popular imagination. Hey, if being vegetarian/vegan works for you, great. I did not find that to be the case for myself, and I'm glad I read this book.
