Rate this book
With over 20 years in the narcotics business, Australian-born Steven Spaliviero knows a thing or two about drug trafficking and the risks involved. Dropping out of school as a teenager, Spaliviero would later further his education in a California state prison, but the subjects they offer in one of America’s hardest prisons won’t look good on your job resume unless you’re applying for a job with the Sinaloa cartel. Arriving in Los Angeles with just a few dollars in his pocket, Spaliviero carved his name deep into the US Ecstasy market. He owned fast cars, lived in a beachfront mansion, rubbed shoulders with Hollywood’s elite, and had Charlotte, a stunning Swedish model, by his side. However, in the underworld things can go wrong quickly, and he became a fugitive of the United States, hiding in the depths of the Colombian jungle. Inspired by his first book, Pills of God, Spaliviero tells an new, untold version of crimes he committed that were previously restricted to tell due to the Proceeds of Crime Act and legal proceedings. This sensational true story places the reader in the shoes of a major narcotics producer and reveals his motives to become the largest Ecstasy manufacturer in history. Spaliviero shares intimate details of his life – from a bully kid to becoming involve with the Sinaloa cartel and his close relationship with a CIA official who helped him traffic $21 billion of narcotics around the world. Fueled by love, greed, betrayal and revenge, this astonishing story is captivating and will transport you away from the world you know and expose the mindset of a drug trafficker who, in the end, had nothing to lose...

Entertaining read. Was able to read this book in full within a single sitting.

Seems to be a mix of fiction and non-fiction loosely related to the true story as covered in court and reported by the media.

Wow, such an incredible book! I picked up the book planning on reading it over a couple weeks and ended up reading it in two days. I did not want to put the book down, it was so good. While reading the book I kept thinking that Steven was incredibly lucky at times and how can this all happen to one person. The pictures in the book brought a sense of reality and were a great touch. I hope Steven will be able to get closure someday with Charlotte.

Hard to put down

This story is so incredible it makes me wonder how much of it is real. Either way it's action -packed start to finish and fun to read. Some editing errors do not spoil the experience.

Action movie content

I hate to use the cliche "can't put the book down" but for this story it applies. Fantastic story of an Australian farm boy who dreams big and achieved even bigger.

Great read. Couldn't put it down. I'd reckon he has plenty of tales to add to the story. Read it!

An entertaining ride of a read. Could have used some editing but overall a decent 'boys own adventure' style of book.

There's plenty of potential, but it desperately needs an editor.
