I read this book for Spanish class and it was pretty great. It's very good for a beginning spanish learner. The plot isn't really all that compelling, but kind of sweet and definitely useful in terms of learning new vocabulary. So, I would not recommend it if you are looking for a positively wowing book, however, if you are learning spanish and you want to get a taste of some of the culture while honing your reading skills, you should take a look at it.
Great for learning spanish (second level) but the story and words were simple. Dont read if you are looking for an adventure story but if you are an early spanish leaner and want to learn about spain's culture and history, it is a great place to start.
Not gonna rate this, just because I read it for school and it was really just to learn Spanish, not to follow an interesting plot and/or note character development, etc. "La Gran Aventura de Alejandro" did what it set out to do, and it was an indifferent experience for me.
