Linda Ford grew up devouring books and making up stories in her head—often late at night when she couldn't sleep. But she hadn't planned to write. Instead, she dreamed of running an orphanage. In a way, that dream came true. She married, had four homemade children, adopted ten and lived (at times, endured) the dream.
Writing first took her to non-fiction human-interest articles for newspapers and eventually a non-fiction book about tuberculosis set in the 1930s and 1940s (Touched By The White Plague). But romance had always been her first love and she turned to writing love stories. She is multi-published in the CBA market.
She lives on a small ranch in Alberta, Canada, where she can see the mountains every day. She and her husband continue to enjoy their children and grandchildren.
There are incorrect word choices: "shook" instead of "shock"; "than" instead of "then"; "I can care less" when it should be "I can't care less"; and improper punctuation placement. Little things an editor should catch. The story is predictable, but cute and enjoyable. There are several hilarious moments in the book that will have tears streaming from your eyes from laughing.
Good theme for this book, though not so stated. An unlikely couple get together after their grand parents rekindle an outdoor flame and the principle lady’s mother walks away from her father. You see God guiding throughout this wonderful love story.
Linda Ford puts in the love of The Lord and his children in all her books. Not a sermon but how we as God's own can use His word and love for us to live a faithful life. One that God wants us to live as his own children. All of Linda's books are enjoyable to read and use as a stepping stone to grow closer to God.
I had a hard time focusing on this book. Even though I knew where I let off when I fell asleep. I read at night and sometimes way into the night, but I guess it just wasn't something that caught my interest. The next book in the series is really good and can't wait to read it more.
Over the top. Cheesy. Dramatic. I finished it, but it is not a book I would mark to read again. The first two stories in Montana weddings are excellent!
