A wonderful story and equally wonderfully written. From the beginning of the book, I was intrigued to know the end. The story started with a surprise and it makes you turn the pages until you reach the end. The story is of hope and a fight for a dream. A priceless possession and his only hope of a better future. The prevailing law and law enforcers made him helpless and hopeless and filled him with animosity and dyspathy. He alienated himself from the world to find some solace in the arms of solitude but happiness forgot the way to his life.
The book depicts hope and dreams and a battle for a dream. Hope is the only guiding thing in the struggle of Abhay who long lost the battle to have a peaceful and happy married life. The book has all the elements to engage a reader from the beginning of the book. It’s a good and fast read depicts an emotional turmoil of life of Abhay.
I would love to say that I like the book to its height. No doubt that the writer has done a very good job with his mind and hands. The story plotted is, best of its kind, as a debut and very emotional.
Protagonist has been projected with the kindest epitome of fatherhood. The quest of him for his own daughter to just see once was presented with the very well written language. this is a very rare matter to be have found in the society and to take the responsibility by the father for his 3-6 months old child-daughter seems very impressive, motivational and influential. The possession was really priceless and can't be compared with any other such form, apart from a mother's love, in real world.
Its all about his hope and his dream for which struggled too much. Casting is so good and precise to their defined jobs. There is one mistake I found in the form of dates is the one on page 35 and its re-phrasing on page no. 44. The time gap was varying from 3 months to 6 months however the situation was same for the whole plot drafted. The verdict's explanation has been put forward with very good details as required and gave the story a genuine touch.
Anita's character, I found, very much important as an ingredient which might not affect the story if absent and but its presence gives that delight which remains in mind till the story lasts. Sarita's character is planned very well, as to the fact the advocate must be full of patience which is why they are very first professionals in our or any society ever, since their (law-practice) existence.
I am attached to the story from the very beginning and very fond of the theme chosen for the book.
For me it's 4.5/5.0 in all the sections; say; language, plot & cast.
*Note: I won this book in exchange of the fair reviews and every word written here is true to the factual thoughts I had after reading this book.
A tribute to my Dreams by Balachandran Kodandath is an intersing and amazing read on a controversial subject with a great message. The book carries all the emotions targeting the readers interested in sentiments and feelings.
The book questions about the logic in not allowing the father to have the custody of his daughter after the divorce. It elaborately discusses about the court proceedings. The author has portrayed the trauma and turmoil the father undergoes in a poignant manner we feel for the protagonist. That way the author is successful and the storyteller in him make the page turner once you start the reading .
The language is simple and the pace is fast. The characters are real and the narrative prose is adorable. The story line may be small . But the discussions, arguments and counter arguments are heavy and honest as you can easily relate to them and they make a great impact in your mind.
Overall it is wonderfully crafted by the author with enough plot to instigate a wonderful read. Anyone who is interested in reading about divorce, custody of the child after the same , the conducting of the case of family relationship by the court can read this . Anyone fond of family drama can find the book interesting . You can recommend this book to your friends and relatives .
I thank the author for having sent me the book in exchange of my honest and unbiased review.
The book is about a matrimonial dispute, the main protagonist Abhay marries a beautiful woman Sveta. However after a few years it becomes obvious that they do not get along and file for divorce. They also have a young daughter Adithi, and her mother refuses to allow Abhay to visit her after they separate. Getting a divorce is also very difficult and time consuming as Svetha and her lawyer often do not turn up in court when the hearing is scheduled, so Abhay has to waste a lot of time attending the court, only to find that his wife has not turned up. It clearly indicates how stressful a divorce can become, if one of the spouses is not cooperating or wishes to take revenge. This book is one of the few fiction books detailing the indian legal system, divorce, child custody.
a Beautiful story and a real page turner...beginning was a little slow but by the end the book really leaves a mark on mind...a wonderful story of faith, hope and lot of struggle.
