Brian, whose younger brother Jamey has leukemia, feels frightened, confused, and neglected by his parents; but he finds some comfort when he donates bone marrow to his brother.
A story from the POV of the brother of a boy with cancer. He is clueless and doesn't know everything since he is a kid, but the story emerges. He has to give his bone marrow to his brother to try to save him and is understandably scared. This book feels real and leaves the ending terribly ambiguous like real life as well!
This book is an amazing book written for children! The author did a great job in assisting parents help our young understand a time that can also be very mind boggling for adults. Her history as a nurse and in HOSPICE Is only an added bonus to her natural talent.
