During this time, I took to social media to promote myself and my books. Whilst on Twitter, I came across another author Dakota Storm who also writes under a different name. After mutual consent, and a bit of arm twisting on her part, we decided to collaborate on a book titled "Explosive Chemistry"
I enjoyed the experience so much I decided to continue on my own. I then released two more books on my own. The first titled "Undercover Liaisons", the other "The Principals Daughter". Both of these have military themes running through them as they are based on my experiences in the military and Private Security Industry
I wrote a trilogy of books based on the life and experiences of a male escort. They follow a young Irishman, the innocence of his first chance meeting with an older lady. She opens his eyes into the world of BDSM. After gaining a taste for it, he tries to discover more about the lifestyle while travelling abroad. The final book focuses on him acting as a male escort in a professional capacity. The main character experiences both sides of the BDSM lifestyle as a dom and a submissive. It was a challenge as I write as both male and female POV in the first person.
I recently released my first erotica novel, which is a dark psychological tale titled "Alters"
"Salvation" follows the lives of two characters searching for their own personal salvation.
"Hemispheres" was released in December 2017 is a psychological story dealing with emotions between two different characters. I won't spoil the story, but one is a sadistic selfish property developer, the other a loving family man. The ultimate sacrifice to save a child, an intricate puzzle to be solved.

I have read most of Zak's work & I am a big fan of his writing. This book took a different path with Zak stating it was going to be dark. I love dark, and this was deliciously dark.
Get ready to meet Brianna, Oliver & Ashton, three very different people who all end up involved on one path. Brianna & Oliver work together, then along comes Ashton, who takes them both under his wing. Introducing Oliver to his world & Brianna to new heights. Yes there is sex in this book & plenty of it Zak does write a hot scene.
You think know where the book is heading however boy are you wrong. The twist is fantastic & one that I did not seen coming. I would love to write more, but I really don't wish to give anything away. It is a page turner & a must read, well done Zak. This is probably my favourite out of your work overtaking the male escort series which I love also.

Zak did a FANTASTIC job with this book. I couldn't put it down; it kept me turning page after steamy page. With each Dark, Sexy, Almost Forbidden & Naughty act kept me on the edge my seat WANTING & NEEDING More! Characters were well written & I could easily experience each POV. Highly recommend! I voluntarily read this ARC & this is my honest review

A truly phenomenal read.
I was completely blown away by this book, my first book by Zak and it definitely won't be my last.
It's dark yet engaging and so well written each page draws you in further.
The dark BDSM for me, albeit it hot, took a back burner to the meaning and psychological aspect of the book and that in itself shows the intellect gone into the writing, some books of this genre are overpowered with sex and the stories issues and meanings are lost amongst those scenes, whereas in this read the BDSM side acted to heighten the depth of the story instead of taking away from it or masking it.
The characters are intelligent and so well thought out. The story line hooks you in until you can't let go.
It's not often you find a book of this calibre that makes you think the way Alters does, which is a testament of just how well thought out and written this book truly is.
I had an idea of where this book was going due to my profession but Zak took that to the next level and did surprise me with the outcome, the depth and detail in this story.
A truly brilliant psychological read that had me craving more, so much so that I needed to own it in paperback aswell as ebook version, like I do with all my favourites!

Obsessive compulsive, Oliver Tobias, has secretly hankered after his PA, Breanna, for years. On a night out with her best friend and co-worker, Tess, Breanna meets Ashton Granger, a dominant, heavily tattooed, bad-boy alpha male with a dangerous aura who piques her interest.
Oliver’s nemesis, Steve Banks, is the hierarchy’s golden boy and a pain in Oliver’s ass, constantly showing him up and humiliating him at work.
This book is the first I’ve read by this author and I have to admit this is the third attempt I’ve made to write a review because there are so many aspects I’d absolutely love to discuss but I don’t want to reveal any spoilers!
The intricate storyline took my emotions on a serious rollercoaster ride. In a couple of scenes, it made me wince with pain. This dark, twisted, at times sadistic, erotic story was a great read, and I did not see the twists and turns that occurred at the end of this tale. It is not what you expect. I must admit that at times it was a little confusing as to whose point of view I was reading, and the editing errors littered throughout were a little off-putting which is why I’ve rated this as a four star read, but the storyline was bloody excellent.

I won this book in a competition and I'm so glad I did as it was totally engrossing and original. I have never read anything by this author before but to say I was impressed is a total understatement. It's very well written, powerful, extremely dark and depraved at times. The sex scenes verge from erotic to brutal with an emphasis on BDSM. It's a complex on the edge of your chair read with the fascinating main characters of Oliver, Brianna and the enigmatic Ashton. Without giving a spoiler, nothing is as it seems and I certainly didn't predict the end. The author has obviously done a lot of research into writing this book and there is so much depth to the story. His attention to detail is very impressive, with a heavy emphasis on religious, artistic and musical imagery. I wanted to say this book is awesome but I wouldn't want to incur the wrath of Ashton, to understand that reference you would need to read the book! I will most definitely be reading more from this talented author. It's a well deserved 5 star read

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. First words I must say is mind boggling! This storyline was very well written and Zak poured his very imaginative mind and heart out on this book. I was expecting a dark romance, but what I read was surprisingly much more of a mystery thriller at it's best. The story had so many nail biting scenes I can't single out one perticular chapter that was better than the other. Oliver's character is a very complex one that took a great deal of imagination to write. This is my first book from Zak and it won't be my last after reading this masterpiece. If you love a thriller with BDSM thrown in for a tinkling added experience. Escape to a heartbreaking life of Oliver You'll be thinking about this book for months it's that good! Great job Zak, continues with your passionate writing style.❤️

This book was simply amazing! Extremely dark but in such a beautiful and believeable way!
The 3 main characters are extremely relateable in some ways, with their desires and wants and needs.
The story is full,of dark twists and turns that take you on a journey that you think you have a handle on and understand, but do we ever really understand the darkness inside of ourselves?!
You will need to buy this book to figure out what I mean.... I won't spoil it for you but suffice it to say, this has been the best book I have read in a long time that made my jaw drop to the floor!
I will be reading all of Zak's books after having read this!

Wow! Just wow! I'm left speechless! The author sends you on one wild adventure into the dark world of erotica, BDSM, mystery and suspense. The story is brilliantly written in intricate detail of the characters temptations they act upon with no remorse. The author's vivid imagination keeps you so intrigued and on the edge of your seat as the story begins to unfold with so many twists and turns. The ending was totally mindblowing!!
If you enjoy very dark erotica, suspense, BDSM, mystery and thriller, then this book is definitely for you. I enjoyed this book immensely and would highly recommend it!! Can't wait to read more of this fabulous author's books!! 5 stars +

Wow! Deep. Detailed. Intense and Disturbing.
First off if you have suffered abuse this story may cause triggers. I did like the twist at the end. Took a while to grasp whose POV we were reading. In my digital kindle copy I made character notations. The different storytelling per character becomes easier to manage once you become familiar with the characters. Wow! What a twist! I was suspecting something but was surprised when the psychologist revealed the punch line. Mind blown. Other than minor typos and overuse of commas, the story messes with the head - in a thriller/horror way.

Alters Alters Alters! This is probably one of the hardest reviews I've ever had to write! I finished Alters 3 days ago and I'm still having a hard time putting into words my thoughts about it. And this is a good thing, not bad! The author weaves a tale that holds your interest and keeps you guessing at what's to come next. The term edge of your seat was coined just for this book! As my first dark erotic read- I am not disappointed one bit! And just wait till you get to the ending and all the pieces fall into place... If you're looking for an intriguing dark erotic read, pick up this book!

This is my book by Zak Hardacre and I really loved it. It is a book that satys with for days after reading it. It plays with your mind and so many questions will run through your head while reading it. Zak writes with great detail so everything and everyone comes to life beautifully. It has some dark elements so it is not for everyone, but if you love reading dark erotica and you love reading something different, then this is the book for you. You won’t regret reading it.

What a strange cover was my first thought, until reading this through to the epilogue....Dark, Twisted Corridors of the mind. Truly fitting cover for the book inside, this is not a romance, it is a trail through a dark twisted mind. A peek at mental illness and it's manifestation. It sucks you inside, chews you up and leaves you stunned at the end. Not your average read, erotic and dark, with plenty of twists.

An impressive, thrilling story which is like no other. It stands out as masterfully crafted, has hidden surprises that kept me on my toes and wanting to find out more. I loved Oliver’s complex nature and the dark erotic scenes where expertly placed throughout and matched the tone of the story. I really enjoy a dark erotic read that isn’t predictable and Alters certainly met this criteria. Well deserved 5 stars from me!

This is my first read from Zak Hardacre and let me say, I will most definitely read another. In this tale we have 3 people who come together, their paths cross so to speak. I thought the story was going one way but just as I finished that thought, here comes a curve ball from left field. This tale will make you sit back and think, wtf did I just read but in a good way. Wonderfully dark erotica.

After a book funk I picked this book up and was hooked after the first page.
Three main characters who are intertwined, seriously well researched in the realms of bdsm and written aspects of almost taboo subjects but with a very unexpected and totally different type of twist that leaves you with questions and wanting more

Wow if you have not read any of Zak Hardacre's books this is a must read. Zak takes you on a journey that is dark but fascinating and keeps you turning the pages. Just when I thought I had the ending sussed out bang total curve ball. Beautifully written, Zak certainly knows how to tell a story. Can't wait to start reading Salvation.deserves 10*

Holy moly!! Well he was right!! I have read a couple of Zak's books and loved them but he said this was going to be different and my days he was right!!
This book will seriously mess with your head, your heart and quite possibly at times, your moral compass.......all three were scattered as I worked my way through this book! I could not put it down, the twists and turns had me flipping pages like a ninja! There were times where I thought I knew where this going and then......BOOM! And I seriously did not see that end!!
This all may sound vague to you but I would hate to inadvertently give out a spoiler!! You just need to read this yourself! Absolute genius!!

This is my first book by Zak Hardacre, and all I can say is Wow, Holy Sh*t, this was a mind F&@k, and I absolutely loved it! Ashton/ Oliver who would have thought?? This book was so well written, I never had a clue this would end this way, complex rooted characters, great storyline, kept me interested and not wanting to put it down!! For a while there I wanted to be Brianna, this book has it all, Sex, lust, a storyline, BDSM, and a twisted ending, all in one, I highly recommend reading, and now have found a new author to follow!

Alters is superbly written. A very dark, gritty, psychological tale. If you like hearts and roses move on. Erotica in it's darkest form. It will draw you in after just a few pages and keep you enthralled right up until the very end.
I do not like to write reviews that give away any of the storyline so I will leave it there other than to say, if you want to embark on a dark, sensual, journey, buy this book, you will not be disappointed!!
