Cairo never seems to disappoint!!! Three couples set out to rekindle whatever may be missing in their marriages on Passion Island. The island isn't what most would expect but so much is learned while there. Krista was my least favorite of all the women although LaQuandra wasn't too far behind. Kendall sure had his work cut out with Krista and I understood why they needed the retreat. Krista allowed her past to dictate how far she was willing to go in the bedroom. I swear I yelled so much at that boring bitch! LaQuandra truly didn't know when to just shut up! It's crazy the secrets she kept from Isaiah are the very ones that caused so much complications in their marriage. Lawd Big Booty will never change but she was serving LaQuandra something serious! Isaiah put up with so much for so long and I understood how each situation for him was draining. I really enjoyed Brenda and Roselle because they were open to a certain extent. They had problems just like any other couple but certain things seemed to work for them. During the retreat there were so many secrets that unfolded that left some trying to pick up the pieces. Lies, deceit, selfishness, and often fear played a major role in each couples lives. Dr. Dangerfield and Nairobia did their jobs in helping each couple and I definitely didn't want to put this book down. As always, great job Cairo!

This is my live review as I read the book.
This is in the urban fiction section, so its probably a lot of explicit sex and then more sex.
Prologue
It's very wet inside her down where the masculine body part is. She feels it in her soul. "This wasn't cheating. It was therapy." She was on an island where couples go for sexual relationship counselling.
Chapter 1
A woman is driving fast to the airport. Her husband, who is in the car with her, is a cheater. Although, she apparently knew at the start, she is tired of it now. He tries to stop cheating, but usually fails. He thinks his wife is mean and crazy.
Chapter 2
A different man gets a sexual text message from a woman who is not his wife. He wishes his wife was more adventurous so he wouldn't feel the need to cheat. He wants to do taboo things with his mouth to his wife's rear area, and sending texts to this other woman is turning him on. He is at the airport with his wife. They are about to go to the sex island.
Chapter 3
The last of the 3 couples going to the island are introduced. The man is on the phone with his baby mama and his wife is upset about it. They are boarding an airplane.
I am not good at remembering or caring about the name of characters in books. The characters have piled up, and I would need a chart to keep them straight.
All of the couples are on the same plane. Also, because this book is about the sex, I guess it doesn't matter that all the couples have the same angry personality.
The wife of couple 3 is annoyed about her situation and thinking "What kind of man denied his wife d---?"
Chapter 5
A wife in one of the couples brought a bible with her on the trip to the sex island.
Chapter 6
They finally get to the island and meet the doctor in charge. It's six weeks of being challenged, tempted and tantalized. Also, the couples get paid for attending.
Chapter 8
One of the couples is having sex. The woman is upset that the man is giving her oral, when she wants him to just put "it" in and skip all the licking. The man is upset that his wife is upset about getting oral sex. He wants his wife to let him do what he enjoys doing. To me this is stupid. These people are angry people who are angry all the time and for every reason in the world. I am not feeling erotic anything from reading this book.
Chapter 9 It's breakfast time:
I feel like this book is torture. Just dragging out pain. I feel like it will take me forever to finish this. I am only at 15%. I am just sitting here waiting for people either to have sex, or have an argument, or to argue while having sex. I don't want that for myself.
I didn't know what this book would involve. I just thought it would be sexy and FUN. But it is not. The first scene of the book had people having sex, yes, but there was no context for me to understand and enjoy it. They were just doing it. So I am going to decide I don't like this author's style and save myself from the tediousness of reading this book.

I love it and definitely reccomend two of characters will truly pluck your nerves but the ending was so unexpected and there definitely needs to be a part two

This is the first book I’ve ever read by Cairo, and now I wanna go back and read all of his previous novels. Passion Island reminded me so much of Why Did I Get Married, with a hefty amount of erotica. The scenes in this book were everything, along with the majority of it taking place in Tahiti. I found myself at times wanting to strangle some of the characters necks but I’m happy that things worked out in the end. Another book I couldn’t put down. And the amount of heat... my god!!! Scenes that’ll make you cross your legs a time or two... or three. ;)
