When you start borrowing books about coffee from one of your favorite baristas, I think you officially have a problem. (But oh, what a glorious problem to have...!)

This book is worth owning for the pictures alone. Although it's also very informative, the images make it coffee table-worthy ... and they make me want to chase that "God in my espresso cup" experience, even at 12:18 a.m.
I'm a coffee enthusiast, but I'm definitely a novice, as well. As such, there was a lot of information that this book touched on that I haven't yet given too much thought to. I've discussed origins and roasting with my baristas, but only in passing.
I imagine this is a great introduction--I want to learn more, at least!--but I also suspect it's not the very most educational book on the subject. I also kept it to four stars because the editing is rough--there are a lot of extra commas that would make me crazy if I didn't allow myself to be distracted by the pictures!
