Bugs Bunny, rascally rabbit of Warner Brothers' award winning animated shorts, has been into space before the events in this cute kids book. In cartoons of the 40s, our long eared hero took a rocket to the moon, the moon gets blown up until it resembles the Crescent we see at night and poor Bugsy is hanging onto what moon is left! Houston, we have a new problem!!! Now, in this book, Bugsy tells buddy Elmer Fudd that he has just created a rocket made into a huge carrot made of spare parts from the junkyard and adding peanut butter to fuel the engine. Houston, we have a problem figuring out the logic of THAT! (Only in the animated world of Looney Toons is this possible.) Bugs gets on board his carrot-rocket and blasts off, hoping to explore strange new worlds, to boldly go where no bunny etc etc. Except he never quite makes it beyond the next block, and now the question remains, will Bugsy...ahem....return to earth? A funny tribute to Warner's and their line up of cartoon stars. Three stars The Bugsy has landed! (Ouch! That hurts!)
