At the start of his freshman year, fourteen-year-old Wiley’s life is a mess. He’s become an island unto himself. A party of one. Tainted by past behavior, his friends want nothing to do with him and have cut him out of their lives, leaving him struggling with loneliness. Now it’s February and his whole world is shifting and changing. But for the good? How will he deal with it? Has he learned anything from his painful experiences?
Terrific book in a series that keeps you reading. Great vocabulary and interesting characters that keep the perfect balance. I enjoyed learning more about historic Grosse Isle as well.
