It's sad when you read a book published in the 80s that advocates for imagination in education and see how k-12 especially has veered from it so much (regarding state requirements for public schools, of course). Overall, there were some essays that I found stronger than others. History is interesting, but some theorists didn't push forward to their own ideas after providing historical examples. Moreover, none of the theorists provided examples of curriculum teachers could actually use to fuel students' imaginations.
