About the author

Jim Pipe studied Ancient & Modern History at Oxford University, then spent ten years in publishing before becoming a full-time writer. He has written numerous non-fiction books for children, many on historical subjects. He lives in Dublin, Ireland, with his lovely wife Melissa and his twin sons.

My 3 years old son loves this book about baby animals.The pictures are nice and there is a Let's play! part at the end to interact with the child. There is a page for parents and teacher as well with questions you could ask and activities you could do.
We found by chance another picture of the same balck bird nest in Buster's First Book of Facts, but this time this is the mother who is feeding the chicks!
