A Christian devotional on the person of Christ As a Christian, you are called to keep your eyes on Jesus, the founder and finisher of your faith. This book will help you do just that. In this third volume of Daily Readings from the Life of Christ , highly acclaimed author and speaker John MacArthur walks you through the final days of Jesus' life and ministry. See how Jesus interacts with the disciples, the crowds, and the religious echelon of His time. From His conflicts with the Jewish leaders to His teachings and prayers from the upper room, you'll gain a fresh appreciation for the perfection of Christ. And by concluding with Jesus' death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, you'll be left face-to-face with the gospel itself. What better way to start your day than by gazing upon Christ. Finding time to spend with Jesus isn't always easy, but it's vitally important, and always worth the effort. Let Daily Readings from the Life of Christ transform your devotional life today.
John F. MacArthur, Jr. was a United States Calvinistic evangelical writer and minister, noted for his radio program entitled Grace to You and as the editor of the Gold Medallion Book Award-winning MacArthur Study Bible. MacArthur was a fifth-generation pastor, a popular author and conference speaker, and served as pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California beginning in 1969, as well as President of The Master’s College (and the related Master’s Seminary) in Santa Clarita, California.
John MacArthur provides valuable, daily insights each day for how to live according to the example of our Lord and Savior. His work and commitment to the purity of God’s Word is invaluable - I highly recommend this daily devotional if you are seeking an addition to your routine or need a starting place. I have read all three in the series - excellent!
I rated this book a 5 out of 5 stars because it is EXACTLY what it claims to be. John MacArthur has given us several of these daily devotional books with brief readings each day from the life of Christ. His thoughts and applications are not the typical fluff you might expect from a "devotional" book. Expect to be challenged to think deeply about the text and apply it to your daily life. I highly recommend this work.
