Chronological account of the adventuresome life of the American hero, explorer, Indian fighter and leader of the western frontier expansionary movement that regards him within his historical era and distinguishes between reality and popular legend
Short but solid biography about one of the most legendary figures in American history. While I wish Lofaro was a bit more of a storyteller, his book works as a fine introduction for newcomers to Boone's story. Three and a half stars.
A decent biography of Boone. I’d recommend it for anyone wanting to explore his life. It doesn’t offer anything new in scholarship but it’s a solid biography.
