A fantastic guide book for rafting the Grand Canyon. This informational book is filled with historical anecdotes about each section of the river and its significant explorers, illustrations of the landmarks, and information on the biology, weather, and outcomes. I read it after my trip and provided an exciting picture of what we did.

Owning the indispensable Waterproof Belknap Grand Canyon River Guide will make my trip down the Colorado River even more enjoyable. Each landmark along the 277-mile run is described in detail. Historical highlights, along with the natural history, notes on flora and fauna of the canyon make this a comprehensive, informative guide. I especially liked the information provided about the native peoples who have lived in the canyon for the past 10,000 years. This handy book will be tucked into my back pack and referred to often on what promises to be a most memorable journey.
