This is a re-read, I read this volume but not the rest so I decided to start over because I love love live anyways.

[spoiler] This was going to be a 3/5 but then I re-read maki's chapters and oh god... that panel of her crying while returning home after quitting µ's... I was heartbroken.

[spoiler] How Umi related to her and helped her go back to the group... yeah peak literature I think.

Yukiho's and Honoka's chapter was beautiful too. Way better than the anime version, you could see how much these sisters truly love each other. It was lovely.

School Idol Diaries is the best way to know the girls better, not the anime, not the manga, but this. Please give it a read!

A new series of Love Live, and I am really delighted. I am only rating it lower because at times the stories felt a bit hodgepodge.
Still I loved seeing the girls again in manga form (since I see them daily when I play the game), and see their stories.
My favourite would definitely be the Maki chapters, about her problems and how Umi can relate to them.
I also loved that while the stories were often light-hearted, there were still moments that were heavy and quite realistic (like the Maki chapters, or the last chapter with Honoka's sister). It was the perfect balance.
I can't wait for the next volume to come out.
