Ann Street Memories: The Early Years: Montgomery Bible School - Alabama Christian College, 1940s & 1950s

Rate this book
A few years ago I began a blog entitled, ‘Ann Street Memories.' Ann Street was the setting for Montgomery Bible School (later Montgomery Bible College and, later still, Alabama Christian College). I wrote about some of my personal memories and requested that former students who had attended MBS/MBC/ACC when the college was located on Ann Street to send in their ‘memories,' and many former students did. Later, I announced that I was planning to publish a book containing our memories of life on the old campus, and again I asked for former students to send me their ‘memories’ which are included in this book.In this volume are included biographies of the three men who had the vision of establishing the Montgomery Bible School in 1942, namely, brethren Joe Ben Greer, Leonard Johnson and Rex A. Turner, Sr. These men sacrificed greatly in order for the school to become a reality. Every student who attended this institution should be cognizant of the great desire of these men to teach and train students to love God and become servants of our Lord Jesus Christ, as well to be good citizens in our country. In Revelation 14:13 the apostle John wrote these beautiful and meaningful “Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “ ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”
