This children’s picture book is a cute addition to everyone’s home. It demonstrates the love one caterpillar has for everyone and the desire to help everyone. Also, it shows how the environment can affect living creatures in nature.

When looking at the illustrations and writing, they were done well. Colorful, inviting, and simple all describe the illustrations and are ones that I’m sure would grab many children’s attention. The writing is simple, concise, and is clear, which again would be inviting to any youngster.

The Very Loving Caterpillar tells the story of a caterpillar who lives in a very supportive and loving community. When the community is threatened by a changing climate, attitudes suddenly change to frustration and despair. The caterpillar has a vision that shows him a way to renew the communities kindness toward each other. This is a beautifully illustrated book that emphasizes the power of love and the effect it can have on those around us. I read this story with my 2 and 4 year old. When we finished, I asked my two year old if she like it, to which her response was "yes, cat'pill". My 4 year-old's review was "I liked it! Can we read it again?" This was a very cute book that easily held the attention of my little ones.

This a great little book that has a lot going on under the surface.
My young son loved the bright illustrations and the flow of the story. There were a number of lessons to be taught from the book which are great in any kids book.
What my son didn't pick up is that I believe the Author was going even deeper and making a commentary on the World and how we live in it.
Very well done and fully recommended for young kids!

Loving ‎how the caterpillar teaches harmony

In the "Very Loving Caterpillar," author Sean Browne teaches how to live in harmony with others and how to care for one another in the most unique way. With awesome illustrations that bring this story to life, young readers will see how one caterpillar deals with frustration and change only to realize that growth is necessary. Through the eyes of a loving caterpillar, the reader will also see in this story that it's okay to break away, recoup to get yourself together. The story encourages the readers to have a sense of balance and boundaries to know that sometimes even heroes need others. This is a great, 5-star story for all ages and an excellent read.
