Sullivan wanted to have a relationship with his son.

Sullivan's ex wife hired him to locate some papers for her. She was very egocentric. She used men to get things that she wanted. This time she put a lot of people in danger. Sullivan nearly died before getting things taken care of.

A struggle within the family while there is also a struggle with the elements of evil. Exciting to read and follow through.

Not too bad.

It was OK, but, it was not for me. I am sure others will, and, have, enjoyed reading this book.

Kit Prate – Long Ride To Limbo – Reviewed 10/20/20 – Read 10/18/20

When the possibilities of becoming rich clouds the mind, then nothing can stand in the way!

Ten years ago, Reese Sullivan’s wife walked out on him, also taking his son, Trey. After he found her, he had no way to fight what she wanted, so he rode away and never looked back. He had been betrayed by his wife and a man he thought was his best friend. Now she is back, and Trey is with her! Her husband has been killed and they both want revenge, or do they???

After being tricked by his employer, Lou Diamond, into signing a contract, Diamond has Reese’s ex-wife come into the room as their new clients. Reese tells Diamond to take the job and the contract and fly a kite! Again, Reese walks away, he wants nothing to do with Vanessa and she has done everything she could do to turn his son against him. When she shows up at his hotel room and offers him $10,000 to find her husband’s killers, find and return the papers that they took from him, plus under no circumstances is he to allow Trey to join him in the search. He decides to take up her offer, he received $5000 upfront, and the balance is to be paid when he brings the papers back to her. Reese decides to leave Chicago and return to Texas that night.

During the trip, the train takes on a Pullman car and Reese thinks nothing of it. Upon arriving at El Paso, he is met by Eva Delgado, his woman. While holding her in his arms he hears a voice behind him, he knew that voice and it belongs to Trey Sullivan.

And the story begins…

What did I like? This was a little different than other books that I have read of Kit’s, not that I didn’t like it, because I did. It is filled with this exciting mystery, all the characters except for the killers, Trey, and Vanessa have no clue as to what is going on. I have always loved history but when you throw in a good-looking man and a ton of exciting action, wow, now you have got yourself a wonderful read. Then when you add the history of the conquistadors into play as the main object of the mystery, it just makes the storyline that much more exciting.

What will you like? Just as I said before, this book is filled with action, history, bad guys, shoot outs, mystery, love, romance, hate, and a ton of unique characters. Kit certainly does have a way with the words when it comes to the descriptions that she uses in her storylines. The best way that I can describe it is: Reach out and you will feel the cold air around you, the smoke from the fire, the heat of the battles, the sound of the gunshots, the pain of the injuries, and the frustration of the searchers! The research shows on every page but the most important thing of all is, you will not be able to lay this book down. Right from the beginning, the mystery starts building and when the final page turns, you will have the answers. Additionally, another wonderful thing about Kit’s books is the characters, loveable, hateable, and downright awesome, take your pick they are all in there. Here is one more excellent book to add to your Western Library!

Head-butting Clashes

This was one story that started off with a clash with a buzzard then moved to another series of head-butting clashes in Chicago. Strong personalities found themselves thrown together while at odds with each other while in pursuit of elusive treasure that lead to Texas and Mexico. The story contained a lot of rough scenes, but there was near a dull moment...a lot of action. The story was well-written.

After he recovers, Jack is made aware of the prejudice and blanant hostility displayed towards the chinese in the community. He begins to speak out against such as he is falling in love with Li Sung. This is a faily well written story with romance about the bias against chinese in the early American west.
