This is a mandatory book to read if you are living in Korea or will do business in Korea. It gives you a basic understanding of the political atmosphere, geographic importance, and culture of the Korean Peninsula. It gives insight into the thinking and philosophy of Park, Chung Hee throughout his tenure as 'President' of South Korea as well as the decisions/policies he emplaced to modernize Korea. Since he is the author, it does push an agenda, but he does list several of his failures/regrets as President. This is also a relatively short book and can be read in ~4 hours.
