Stanley Brown was a man that loved women. Stanly fathered four children and was not active in their life. Stanley turned his life over to God, moved back home to take care of his mom, and reached out to develop a relationship with his grown children. Unfortunately, Stanley only son had died. Stanley had three daughters; Yolanda, Kim, and Sabrina whom he wished to develop a relationship with. Kim and Sabrina was willing, but Yolanda was so angry with Stanley. We all make mistakes and should be given another chance. Awesome job ladies!!

Deacon Brown's Daughters

I gave this book 5 stars. It was a well written realistic account of what happens when we are in the process of transformation and we have unresolved issues from the past.
I could truly relate to the issues the characters experienced. Deacon Brown was a man on a mission- to correct and do right by his daughters. He never did get a chance with his son.
My favorite scene was the day of the ordination. The tight circle Stanley embraced all his girls in was very heartfelt. Had me tears!

I absolutely loved this book. It touched on a realistic issue that many face. The characters are just as realistic as the issue the book addresses. After reading it I want to know more. I need a part 2.

Awesome Encouraging Book

This well-written book offered me encouragement to continue the race and to spread the word that God so loved the world. Thank you both because it made me do some self searching.

Powerful, page turning read about redemption and forgiveness. We all fall short but our God is good, merciful, faithful, and just. Stanley Brown was once a rolling stone but has started a journey to get his life together after finding Christ. To move forward he has to deal with his past. A past that consist of being a womanizer and deadbeat father. Stanley thinks his girls should just accept his apology and start a new chapter of life that includes him in it. Will he be success? I highly recommend reading this book. It is well written, easy to read, encouraging, and entertaining. Kudos Michelle and CaSandra!!

Deacon Brown's Daughters. This book was inspirational! It touches on the love parents give or not give to their children, it showed what happens when a child is denied that love, and most of all it let's us know that God's love conquers all and will be there whenever you need Him. Stanley dedicated his life to the Lord but something was missing. He realizes later in life that he needs to make amends with his children. He reached out to them and got different results. But perseverance and Jesus guiding him helped him to find better relationships with his children. A wonderful book!

A testament of forgiveness along with the grace and mercy of GOD . For GOD so loved the world so that include all of us . It’s more difficult to forgive without the help of GOD . Gwen was bitter & I pray she will get her own story about deliverance. This literally had me in tears . I’m so proud of Stanley & the ending .

Excellent read

Excellent read, I loved the storyline and characters. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of men and women without relationship with their fathers. This is definitely generational in the Black community. It was great to see Stanley reconnect with his three daughters. I recommend this book.

When we become new creations in Christ old things pass away and we are made new. This is the story of a man who found Christ and changed. In his old life he didn’t hold a steady job, went from women to women, and fathered 4 children by different mothers. He ran each time he became a father and was a deadbeat absent dad.

This is a story about God’s forgiveness and restoration. As Stanley is becoming a new man he reaches out to his children to ask for forgiveness and to start building a relationship. Each adult child reacted differently. Positive story with encouraging hopeful ending.

One of my favorites and that's saying a lot because I have enjoyed every book I've read written by these ladies, individually or collectively. Social distancing has kept me from seeing the movie. Prayerfully, I'll get to see it soon. I always prefer reading the book first so I don't have the visuals of the movie characters in my mind when I read. Continue to let the Lord use you to spread His message of love and forgiveness.

Deacon Brown’s Daughter hit home really hard, I know all to well how these young ladies feel. These two authors wrote about real live issues that are going on in someone’s life today. I believe this book of forgiveness, second chances and faith will touch someone and help them.

A short but powerful story about a man who eventually gives his life to Christ, then tries to have a relationship with his three remaining adult children. A good read for anyone who's earthly father has abandoned them.

I enjoyed reading Deacon Brown's reconnection with his daughters. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an estranged father. I believe that everything else that I've read by Michelle has been romance related so this was a bit different. Nevertheless, she delivered. Great book!

An excellent and emotional read about fatherhood and the struggles and consequences of unavailable or irresponsible fathers that is so relatable to many children and adult victims. But there's always hope of reconciliation and rebuilding parent-child relationships.

This is a beautifully written story about a man who never bothered to have any type of relationship with his children. 20 years later he has turned his life around and want to build relationship with them. Will it be too late or will he be granted the forgiveness he is seeking.

This was a wonderful story. Sometimes we don't understand why fathers run a way from responsibilities or just being in their children's lives. I am glad that Michelle and Cassandra wrote this book. I hope this book would bring some healing or relief to the person that reads this book who father wasn't apart of their life. Great job ladies for approaching this subject.

What a powerful book of redemption. This book is a lot of people's story. The power of forgiveness and redemption is alive and well in this book. I have not cried when reading a book in a long time, but this one brought tears to my eyes and I will be sharing it with a friend who just recently reconnected with her biological father. She is Kim in this book. Excellent read!! Bravo to the authors.
