This book is rated for grades 1-2. It has chapters (4) which I found to be different for a book of this type and hopefully it will encourage readers to keep progressing to longer chapter books.
Dr. Mouse is a mouse who is a doctor and travels around the Bungle Jungle with his horse helping various animals with their problems and taking slices of cheese as payment (which I thought was innovative).
This book is cute. I like how it is for beginning readers, but still contains chapters to help give them confidence to move towards harder books. The mouse in the book has to go help various animals with their health troubles like a knotted up snake. Their troubles are fun to read.
