Volt Nikolaevich Suslov (Russian: Вольт Николаевич Суслов) (1926-1998), Russian poet and prose writer.
He published his first poem in 1956 in the newspaper Lenin Iskra. And in 1960 the first book of Suslov's poems was published - "The Sly Hedgehog", written together with Lev Gavrilov. This edition opened an extensive list of his books, addressed to children and aroused their keen interest. The recognition of adult readers and fellow writers also came to him. Together with composers V. Basner, G. Portnov, J. Dubravin, B. Kravchenko and others he wrote more than 300 songs.
In 1954-1975 he was a literary collaborator and deputy editor of the Leninskie Iskra magazine. Over the years, many of his articles, feuilletons, reports from school life have been published. He was also the editor-compiler of the "Iskorka" magazine. Over time, he gained authority in children's journalism.
Suslov was elected secretary of the board of the Leningrad Writers' Organization. He headed the section for children's and youth literature. He was awarded the title "Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR".
