This is not a book about being a real estate agent. I'm not sure anything in it is specific to selling real estate. You could find and replace "Top Agent" with "Top Trash Collector," "Top Porn Star," "Top Plumber." And it would be the same book. About 60% into the book (I have the kindle version which doesn't have pages) the Author starts to mention something about prospecting for clients--but, again could be about any business. He talks about negotiating commissions--Really! Is there anyone out there who doesn't accept 6% (split) as the base commission for a real estate agent? I guess if you're going for 7 or 8% you might have to justify your service. So anyway, the Kindle version has a lot of typos, which actually make the book a little more entertaining, my two favorites were: "The cycle of rear," and the quote by Arsitotle. I am interested in selling my house--so I really wanted info as to what my real estate agent could be doing to make that happen--no information about that here. In fact I think Mr. Aranda and my agent have the same belief that once you sign a client, the house sells itself. Uh--not true, I've found! What the book does provide is a bunch of "self-help" "feel better about yourself" info most gleaned from other people's books--he does credit them most of the time. Out of all the anecdotes he gives as examples--not one--let me emphasize not one is from the profession of real estate, stories about bears and fighter pilots and I don't know what else. And, the stories don't even logically express the point he is trying to make. His statement at one point is that a cycle of fear always begins with a lie, a half-truth, misinformation or false information. And then he tells the story of a a Park Ranger who warns me that bears have been spotted on the hiking trail....which leads to me being afraid (I guess.) This is not a lie or half-truth--bears had been spotted on the trails. The park ranger equips me with items for protection. When I think I hear a bear I'm afraid. The logic of this story is totally lost. And, when I hired my real estate agent, I did not care why she got into the business, or what motivates her, or any BS like that. I simply wanted to know that she was going to sell my house. I hate to be so negative in a review, but this book is more about moralizing, preaching, and about being a good person than anything about selling real estate. I paid 99 cents for it and the only insight I got is that I'm suffering from a Crisis of Meaning--yes I am.

Success is Voluntary

This book reminds me that it is impossible to have enduring success without having the right mindset, core beliefs, and dedication to the actions that will bring the desired results. To be better at anything requires that one becomes better as a person. That work is voluntary. So is success.

Very Encouraging

I'm a died-in-the-wool introvert who has been discouraged about everything and zapped of self-confidence. This book gives good information for new agents to save them from wasting a lot of money. Which I've already done. Hopefully I can use some of this advice to start fresh.

Great book

As a new agent , I loved that this book provided tools and tips for success in the field. More importantly, it stressed the importance of being a successful version of yourself first then everything else follows! I’m a firm believer that all success, mentally, physically, and financially, starts with you.
