An old yellowed book plucked from my uncle’s bookshelf, published in 1982, the writing is dated but interesting in that it speaks to, and of, animal rights, the environment, Native Americans, land and loss.

This was quite possibly the worst book I have read in my entire life. The author's writing was irritatingly repetitive, and the story itself, even taking into account the time period in which it was written, was rife with stereotypes, racism, and utterly unbelievable characters. I do not recommend this book!

Didn't finish the book. Couldn't get through the slaughter of these animals by stupid men just blasting away because they thought it was fun.
