Published in 1972 it is an older history of the river boats and paddle wheelers of BC and Yukon. It is full of stories and anecdotes as it tells the story of they majestic vessels that plied the lakes and rivers. It is a colourful history that includes the colourful people who owned, captained, worked on these vessels. . The book is full of great black and white photographs. If you are Interested in frontier transportation history this book isn’t a well worth the read.

Not essential BC history but cool to think that these tough ships were in a lot of places you wouldn't expect them. I have a cabin on one of the lakes they plied so I had a vested interest in reading this. Great photos of the time and places.
