Simply an extremely accessible textbook on abstract algebra which has the added benefit of providing "concept check" like questions throughout the chapters which reinforces learning in a great way. The only downside to this book is that it could benefit from including more questions in the end of each chapter. I used this alongside "Contemporary Abstract Algebra" by Joseph Gallian for my class in abstract algebra. While the later textbook is much more dense it does not provide the same friendly readability as the one by Laura, Dos Reis. I therefore highly recommend this textbook as anyone remotely interested in learning the subject of abstract algebra and it is especially good if you are self-learning the subject. The book covers topics sufficient for an entry level abstract algebra course although I recommend supplementing with another book if you are looking up a particular term as this is less of a reference book and more of a introductory/self-study book.
(Note I don't like the star rating and as such I only rate books based upon one star or five stars corresponding to the in my opinion preferable rating system of thumbs up/down. This later rating system encourages in my opinion the degree to which the reader is likely to engage with a review instead of merely glancing at the number of stars)
