In Chewing Gum , Michael Redclift deftly chronicles the growing popularity of gum in the U.S. alongside a fascinating history of peasant revolution led by charismatic Indians in the jungles of southern Mexico.
Chewing Gum: TFoT has some really interesting information, but dang is it repetitive. Somebody should have given the author a lesson in concise writing - he'll make a point, then spend at least another 3 or 4 paragraphs stating the same point all over again. If somebody took an axe to this thing and cleaned it up, this would make for a great book.
