Super fun. Super entertaining. Super. I laughed a lot. I just could not imagine much of what Ivy got herself into. She was one ghostly woman caught between to very hot, sexy men. Albeit one was from hell and the other was from heaven. This was fun for me just from the look on the cover. I knew that I was going to have a blast with this one.
We all have seen or heard of that one person that no one could tell anything. Well that as Ivy in a nutshell. She was warned. She chose not to listen. She now time to pay the price. She also had to make a choice. To serve and move up or to be selfish and continue down. This dare I say again was fun to read and watch all the antics that Ivy got into and up to.
Looking for a lighthearted, fun read for the weekend or just in between things you rather forget. Pick up a copy of How to Date When You’re Dead. Your funny bone and humor center will love it.
This is a must read for everyone. It is realistic in its battle to get to the top of the corporate ladder, making phony friendships, while missing out on true friendship. You can't believe angels or demons, they each have their own agenda for the souls in purgatory. How do you decide what to believe when you are given a week to get your former secretary to become VP of marketing, or you will be vaporized? What happens when you have sex with a demon, and want to have sex with a guardian angel and they are brothers? The devil is a woman and is one catty bitch out to stir the pot for her own enjoyment.
I suppose it was OK. I hate to say I didn't like it cause honestly it wasn't terrible, it just wasn't really that great. The story jumped around, the characters were underdeveloped and I probably should have just quit while i was ahead and given up on reading. Its not a bad story, in fact I think deep in there it has a great story wanting to be told. Instead it was more just a framework without the flushing out or continuity of a great story.
I received an ARC of this book from the author. Ivy Pinkerton is dead. Now she has to decide if she wants to be a demon or a guardian angel. Her first task is to help Lucy get a promotion at work. Lucy was her former assistant. Of course Ivy is used to doing everything she can to get what she wants. Even if it is illegal or just plain wrong. Now can a self absorbed half demon half guardian angel save Lucy? As the story goes she is bouncing back and forth between a demon bartender and a guardian angel. Not to mention Tess the devil herself. Ivy does what she thinks will work but everything seems to keep backfiring on her. I would say this is a fun book to read! Go Ivy!!!
This is a sassy and funny adventure read on paranormal.
A woman named Ivy should've listened to the voices or rather the voices around her. Instead of being nose deep on her phone and thinking the world owes her one. Now she is dead and must make a big decision. Will she try to redeem herself and become a angel? Or will she decide that she rather be a demon on the path to hell? With her mission in hand and no training, she will have to decide what to do or not to do. But the question is, can she complete her mission?
I loved the premise of the book. It sounds like it would be a hoot. There were a lot of laughable moments, and the cast of characters were entertaining. I had a hard time connecting to Ivy, as she's completely shallow, only caring about her looks, a promotion, and designer clothing. I had actually wished the mousy assistant Lucy, that Ivy was tasked with saving, had a bigger role in the story. Overall, there weren't any plot holes, and aside from the shallowness of Ivy, the story was readable.
This is a fun little story about a woman who made poor choices in life and has a chance to earn a life in heaven or hell based on her choices after dying,
I enjoyed the story as a light, fun read. She really is not a nice person before dying. She is very focused on herself and uncaring of others. Death offers her temptations she has to resist too. Two men try to woo her and one will bring her redemption and the other a life in Hell.
Hilarious, highly entertainingand incredibly funny. The characters were strong and sweet while the plot was intriguing and unique. I loved it and would recommend it to everyone. A definite 4.3 stars read. I can't wait to read more from the author. The book was awesome and refreshing.
