It is a great book on the life and art of an important American sculptor Paul Manship written by his son, who has access to first-hand knowledge and materials. It covers the main life stages and a lot of works, illustrating it with many photographs. It is a monograph, not an exhibition book with a set of essays, which makes it very consistent. The book is also published well – thick high-quality paper, large font, large photographs, a few in color showing modern views of public works. It is easy reading. The only thing that is rather questionable is the front cover photo - it is a fragment of less known work, black on black, and looks rather poor.
