William S. “Bill” Green is the straight-talking, edgy, no-holds-barred serial entrepreneur and author of ALL IN: Real Life Business Lessons for Aspiring Entrepreneurs. Having built multiple businesses from beginning to blockbuster during his 40-year career, Green is best known for “bootstrapping a startup” before anyone knew what the word “startup” meant. He propelled his first company, Wilmar Industries, from a flea market table to an industry-leading $630-million corporation with more than 2,300 employees. With decades of successes, Green is ready to reveal his gritty secrets and practical tools for success.
Green has carved a reputation for going hard or going home in everything he does. He wrote ALL IN to show aspiring entrepreneurs how to fully commit to whatever they do—not just in business, but also in life. One of the few CEOs willing to share what it really takes to go from a startup founder to the CEO of a publicly traded company, Green lays all his cards on the table with humor, humility, and passion.
All in tells the inspiring story of how writer Bill Green went from selling hardware tools at a local flea market to founding one of the largest industrial distribution companies in the US. Based on real-life experiences, he reveals 101 refreshing business lessons to guide his readers towards the successful entrepreneurial career they’ve been dreaming of.
This book was highly informative. It was well written and turned out to be quite helpful. I believe that it may have been nice if the book included some small diagrams, not only to further explain some points but to also break up the text. The copy i recieved was missing a few sentences and something's started mid-sentence, but this book seems like something a business owner would really benefit from. Overall it was a good, helpful book that I enjoyed reading.
Thank you so much Koehler Books for sending me this book to review.
Inspiring way to learn how to be successful in business
All In recounts Bill Green’s success in multiple business ventures with excellent takeaways I can apply immediately. It turned out to also be a fun read because Green is a great storyteller too. I highly recommend this book if you’re an entrepreneur just starting out or have been around the block a few times.
When you go to war, see if Bill Green can join forces. His passion, creativity and street smarts built a multi billion dollar business from the trunk of his car. And he has kept learning, evolving and succeeding with out stop. Well done. Inspiring read for any and all of us. If you ever feel complacent, read this book
Bill Green did a phenomenal job taking the reader through his personal business story. Everything in this book was extremely informative. As a 23 year old, I can easily say I will look back on this book for quotes, personal growth and life lessons.

For those who are starting new business or who deal with entrepreneurs
This book provides a view into the world of the startups. The author experience is rich and longstanding as he started early and have had several different enterprises, most of them successful.
I recommend for the new entrepreneurs and also to people who gravitate around them, like venture capitalists, managers and investors in general.
We were sent a free review copy of All In: 101 Real-Life Business Lessons For Emerging Entrepreneurs written by Bill Green by his publicist.
This book is right down our alley. This is a subject we love to discuss on our Redneck MBA blog. Mr. Green brings some real-world perspective to the lessons we try to teach via that blog.
It is interesting that Mr. Green has used the slogan “Whatever It Takes” with his businesses. The reason that is interesting is it is the motto of he city of Wharton, Texas, volunteer fire department and is written on the side of their biggest trucks. Victims of disaster know that the fire department will do Whatever It Takes to keep them safe.
Mr. Green tells us that we need to keep pushing and go that extra mile. He speaks of providing outstanding customer service to differentiate us from all the competitors.
It seems that Mr. Green’s father taught him a great lesson. This is the same lesson that I learned by watching many great salesmen at work. This lesson is the secret sauce that separates the good salesmen from the really great salesmen.
We think All In is an outstanding book and far better than most we have read on the subject, and there have been hundreds. We give All In all five stars and two snaps up in a circle.
We would love to see a reality show starring Mr. Green, sort of in the same format of a Gordon Ramsey show meets The Apprentice meets Shark Tank.
This would be a show where Bill would take people who have submitted business plans and mentor them through the startup of their company. Show sponsors would provide the start up capital.
We believe that All In is a great book for anyone in business, especially those who have little business experience. We would love to see Mr. Green write a book on raising startup capital. This would make a great gift for those you know who have that entrepreneurial itch and need to scratch it.
Great book for entrepreneurs. The book contains 101 lessons that Bill Green learned through building numerous companies, but what sticks with me is the wonderful story of how he went from selling at a flea market table to building one of the largest distribution companies.
