Very powerful and enlightening! I’m going to Kenya on my first mission trip and this book helped me better understand both the differences and similarities among youth in Kenya and the United States.

I read this book in preparation for a trip to Kenya. Ruth is a Kenyan youth who takes the American reader like me through her life. She is strong and brave and changing her world. Recommended.
