The Truth About Forever is a beautifully written love story that shows the true nature of college life, romance, and friendships that make you think about your own experiences. The last line of her blurb is so true to the book and to real life which makes me love this book and earn for the next book to come out even sooner; "The truth is, you can only run for so long before your heart catches up with you." The best way to describe this book is that it is an intense college love story that was nearly impossible to put down.

The Author, Cole Lepley, really pulled off a story that seems to have been told many times and made it her own with the twists and turns of real life and what could be real experiences.

This book will make you laugh and cry all at the same time and leave you wanting more and it is a must read by me.

This book is number one in the series. It's in a college setting; campus, friends and partying. Nicole is torn between her relationship with Silas and her newfound feelings for Carter. There are different types of love and the one she experiences with Carter causes an immense feeling of guilt because she isn't totally in love with Silas. Personally, I'm team Silas all the way. I love the way the author describes his character, especially his possessive nature. The ending left me lost, not knowing what's going to happen until the release of Cole's next book. Don't let that deter you because it's an excellent read.

'The truth about forever' drops you right into the midst of college life and makes you feel as you are actually there -hanging with the characters, partying hard, studying a little and feeling all of their emotions.

'The truth about forever' is a story of romance, of love so strong that it hurts. Love that breaks and heals at the same time.
The characters are realistic, their lives are dramatic and crazy, only the way the lives of college kids in love could be.

Cole Lepley's writing is full of emotions that you are sure to feel - love, anger, friendship, desperation - it's all there.

Age advisory
'The truth about forever's is a new-adult book, so heavy language, alcohol and drug use are present.

What an amazing debut novel, by a wonderfully astute observer of college age adults, this story is filled with the dazzling emotional roller-coaster feelings we all remember and loved and hated. It takes you right into the world of love, attraction, anxiety, and poignant choices that all people make during these crucial years. The characters are well thought out, facing dilemmas that seem larger than life, until one such situation knocks them into reality. Fast paced, completely engaging, a page turner for sure, this story leaves you breathless, waiting for more!

Several pages into chapter one, and the heroine is already calling an unfamiliar woman slurs. The biggest red flag.
To be fair, I read a few chapters after that instead of ftsio, but it just gets worse and worse.
Unsalvageable.

Nicole Mason is in college and wants to become a lawyer. She keeps relationships at a distance because she was really hurt by her high school sweetheart. She has been in a relationship with Silas for a couple of years now and she likes the comfort of it. He lets her hang out with her friends as long as she goes to him at night. Nicole is not really happy she is just trying to get by with her busy school schedule and move on into the future.

Joey Carter is a new student at the school who is known for throwing the best parties and getting any woman that he wants. When he meets Nicole in class for the first time he is instantly drawn to her and he cannot figure out why. He is not knows for relationships that last more than a night. However there is something different about Nicole and becoming her friend is just the beginning.

This was a very good read. This is more of a love triangle between Nicole and two men that she cares deeply for. She happens to be a very strong woman when it comes to her career and goals. She does not want to hurt anyone but after awhile realizes that she is only hurting herself by not listening to what her heart wants. She loves Silas and wants him to be happy but she cannot control the urges she has to keep Joey in her life. She is trying to keep him in the friend zone but when Silas makes a mistake in the relationship Nicole has to decide what is best for her and her future.

I love how this story is written. You know something is going to happen but you are not sure what to expect until it actually happens. I felt as if I was actually part of Nicole as she was dealing with the decisions that she had to make. Although I am not sure why she kept going back and forth with her decisions through out the book but it made this a great read.
