Lea Taddonio's Fashon Police, part of the Along for the Ride series presents very similarly to it's preceding story. There are some cute illustrations and the characters all give young girls an engaging story to connect with. My likes and dislikes of the series overall remain about the same as before.
The text font, while cute and fun to look at, definitely makes it more difficult to read for any reader who might be struggling. This is especially true for anyone who is not versed in cursive. I think it also puts weird emphases on words that you wouldn't otherwise emphasis, which made reading feel a bit staggered. I don't think, if a reader were reading this aloud, it would be as much of an issue; but then again, that all does kind of rely on what kind of reader someone is.
As far as the plot goes, it has similar pros and cons as the first story did. Not a ton of girls are so into fashion that they start sewing their own clothes early on. But, there is something worthwhile in the message of personal presentation remaining true to oneself as opposed to presenting something that society supposedly approves of. In the age of TikTok, this is certainly something I think girls might identify with a little more as they get older.

The main character of this book, Maisey, learns to respect her friend's desire to feel comfortable by being herself rather than act and dress as the supposed fashion world wants. The lesson is learned quickly without a lot playing into it and there are some summarized portions her as well.

A Hi-Lo chap book about fashion. Three teen girls handle fashion problems and social media. Sentences are short, vocabulary is low and fun fonts are used to break up the text.
