No matter what your age, reflecting on your last interactions with a dying loved one can have life-long consequences for you. This book weaves direct quotations from real people's memories of final conversations, with advice and themes that will help you determine what may work for you.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a loved one who is nearing death. Full of excellent advice and stories that fill you with the courage needed to face a final conversation with someone you love. Was so helpful to me as I lost my grandmother. I feel confident that our relationship on Earth ended well with both of us knowing that we were loved be the other.
Generic. Pedestrian. Lutheran I swear. Nothing new for me. I've been telling my loved ones important things for years before its too late, to ensure they know and i know we are lived and did our best yada yada. This must be for people who dont do that. Book sucks. I expected a how-to, not just a "you should do this" book.

I have not had a final conversation but this book has convinced me of their importance. The authors do a good job of incorporating their observations with the narratives. The most useful chapter is the last one where they describe how to actually be a good communicator when having a final conversation.
