The author provides a wealth of information on herbs and the way the TCM use them. He explains the Chinese idealogy behind the herbs and provides a list of Chinese herbal formulas that are available in the market place and their benefits.

Not as much information on each herb as I'd like. That being said, this above average in herbal scope and details

I had to return the book to the library. Didn't actually read the book cover-to-cover but this really isn't that kind of a book. It's more of a reference book. I liked that it put theories of traditional chinese medicines and the names of medicines and herbal remedies that I already have a vague idea of in English which is more accessible. I also like the fact that I can show it to my SO and say, this is what my mumbo-jumbo is about. :)
