If you’re looking for a greater understanding of yourself and others through spirituality, this may be the book for you. Schickel (a former IRS revenue officer of all things) shares life experiences that helped him rise to his level of self-actualization. Growing up different--feeling spirits around him as a child--Mr. Schickel discovered his internal energy and how to understand and use it to benefit himself and others. One of his many mantras, “Hope, believe, and visualize the change you seek,” reflects his opinion that we are in control over more in our lives than what we may think. Gifts of the Spirit is a well-written, easy-to-follow account of how one man used spiritual gifts to improve his quality of life, but it is my opinion that you don’t have to necessarily be a spiritual person to come away from this book with some valuable insights about yourself.

This is a great book! It was filled with personal stories from the author merged with messages from Spirit for the purpose of soul growth. It lays out a path to deep healing in a way that integrates the physical, mental, emotional and etheric bodies in an understandable and relatable way. The book also contains tools and techniques which you can do yourself. I've found these to be quite effective. I enjoyed learning about Spirit, past lives, relationships, traumas, healing, and most importantly - loving myself. I highly recommend this book.
