The earlier chapters and photographs are beautiful and inspiring but the best is left for last "In the Land of Bramafan" the author's personal garden. Paola Pejrone's writing really hits the spot for the modern gardener who wishes to combine gardening and wildlife. A beautiful book.

This stunning photo collection of naturalistic Italian gardens designed by Paola Pejrone literally made me weep. They are unbelievably beautiful place in a beautiful part of the world. The work of the designer and the gardeners who keep these going is simply a treasure. I am beyond jealous and would want to own any of these myself. Simply lovely.
