In this story four girls have come to realize that they all couldn't remember what happened the previous night of the when they found out about their friends suicides that took place, then guided by strange black butterflies they all strangely meet up with a blond lady claiming that they died the previous night and saved their body's. The girls in this story who are Kate, Claire, Rose, and Rachel have been told to fight strange creatures who will attempt to permanently kill them, and if they want to continue to be seen by people they must all fight or they all die. I sorta liked this book because it has some things I like to see in a book which can be organized in different ways depending on the story line. I like this book because it has many obstacles that occur in it. I also really like the fact that it has some serious betrayal in it because it adds suspense. And last, I like the mystical things and stuff like supernatural abilities and some people. So this book is good it has alot of talking in it but it manages over the other cool stuff that happens in it.
In the beginning, none of the girls really trusted each other, which made it hard for them to fight together. Such as when night fall comes and they see the black butterflies they are led to a place where they know they have to fight, in the first fight they had not expected it, and none of them had any powers someone would expect in a story like this, so they all could have died if not for luck, Rachel some how was able to jump extremely high in the air while the monster was on her back and crashed into the ground. It then got hit by a truck, but those beast like humans aren't the only things they must go through, they have to also find out how to get their real body's back, and how to make these creatures stop attacking, and who is making them attack or transform. So they have to deal with all those things, and learn to trust each other, and go through high school, but they're not doing good with school. But it's not just those, its also some people who they don't know about who're releasing these creatures they eventually have to meet them and probably fight them too.
Next on this book, is that it has some really good betrayal parts, they are the best, and its why I like this book the most. So like one of these betrayals takes place when Kate meets a new friend its a guy named Herve, they spend alot of time together and he's dates her and protects her all of those type of things. He even cares deeply for his family, because his sister is somehow turning into that creatures that attack Kate and the others, so he seems really innocent. But at a time he asks Kate to come to the docks and he tells her all these things which Kate doesn't want to hear, like about the death of her friend and how it really happened why she's really fighting, and how she's being used, he acts so sinister manipulating Kate to do things because she's weaker than him and she wants to protect her allies. Since Kate is not use to fighting those creatures or living the way she is, what Herve said to her deeply scarred her and made her feel alone. So that's another reason why I like this book, the brutal betrayals.
Finally, the last thing I like about this book is mystical things and supernatural powers because with those you bring the action up. One of the major events that happen in this story is when Kate, Claire, Rachel and Rose's best friend who they thought committed suicide is somehow alive. It seemed as if Herve who was on the other side created another body just to torture her, and mess with her head. The book has also got some good supernatural abilities, but its cool how its hardly and magic just super speed, strength, defense and can fly, and things of that nature so those make the fights so much easier to follow than the spell chanting you'd see in other books like this. So adding supernatural abilities would make great battles and I love action, and mystical things like Resurrection and creatures made from people are great too and is why I like this book as much as I do now.
In conclusion, this book is about four girls who just want their friend and their lives back, instead fighting some things and some people they don't even know fully about. They all just want their freedom to live life the way they want to and that would be like a normal every day teenager. But if they cant learn to trust only each other, and no one else, they will surely die. And ofcourse, they will have to face many trials if they want their real bodies. Through fighting, they will also need to face betrayal from people, they thought were kind, and loving, but ended up being evil, and sinister. And the most important thing these girls need to learn how to do the most, is to kill without hesitation, whether it is a person, or a creature, or anything inbetween, because if they dont have these aspects, then they are sure to fail on saving their friend who died, themselves, and also their family because if they die then they'll turn into a creature and seek blood most similar to theirs. So they need to protect, save, and live in this story, why dont you try and help out someone like that it will always benefit.
L’héroïne est insupportable. Je comprends pas son passage de fille niaise / mélancolique tout le temps en train de se plaindre, à grosse bad-ass (mais qui reste toujours aussi chiante et pleine de bons sentiments). Pas très crédible tout ça.
