I definitely think this book is a good read for anyone looking to make well informed decisions about their pregnancy and birth. While I knew a lot of the information it contained, it did open my eyes to my potential to have the birth I want and the care that will best fit me. The book is very pro-unmediated labor and breastfeeding, so if that’ll annoy you, I’d probably avoid it. But there’s a plethora of sources backing the information in the book- definitely worth it as a FTM- much better than What To Expect.
The book mainly focus on the point that birth is a natural. Any unnecessary intervention in the natural process is not good for mother and baby. Commercialization has made pregnancy into a packaged product and service. Book is Helpful in many ways. No book or classes r needed for woman to deliver a baby but a good book and guided classes can ease the process.
