Sometimes I have to stand on my head to see things as they are, when the world seems so upside-down that this is the only position in which anything makes sense. ~ Author unknown
In the words of the authors: Is this a Fever Dream or a Swooningly Romantic Tale?
Or do you hear Rod Serling in the background: imagine if you will … Colonel Fitzwilliam and Anne de Bourgh in a role reversal.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. ~ Yogi Berra
I marked this as a want-to-read quite some time ago and suspected it was a spoof of Shakespeare (I still don’t understand Twelfth Night in the title). The Bard wouldn’t be caught dead writing this – it took the comedy team of Justine and JanCat.
Instead of Shakespeare, we find ODC (our dear Colonel) waving a lace handkerchief from his small phaeton and macho Anne de Bough indulging in Greco-Roman Wrestling with our hero Darcy.
This book was coo-coo! If you like imagination and humor, don't care if P & P characters are dramatically changed, this one is for you. It was strange but courageous and irreverent which made me like it. Love seeing P & P stretched to the limit.
