I enjoyed this story a lot more than I was expecting as it's not my normal fair. In fact I would have given it more stars if it weren't for the editing. I know independent publishing is difficult so don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting this to be flawless but there are enough mistakes to put a casual reader off. Anyway, on to the positives! Good story, well told with really likeable characters. It's quite a long book at 499 pages but such a page turner that you don't feel it drags at any point. In conclusion, I hope to read more from this author.
This is a fairly long read and takes a few twists and turns that makes it one that feels like you are done quicker than other wise. The story begins with murder when Leo Ricardo is found dead. Bill Foster is going to have to defend Mary Cowan as the trial gets underway and he is going to find a twisted tale that takes him down several different avenues. The author does a great job with not only the mystery and murder in the story but also makes this book a courtroom drama. The writing is good and reader friendly, making the twisted story easy to follow and the mystery a great suspense.
